About COST Action FP0904
During Thermo-Hydro-Mechanical (THM) processing, wood undergoes mechano-chemical transformations depending on the processing parameters and material properties. The main objective of this Action is to improve the knowledge of these changes through collaborations between different research disciplines groups from wood science and material sciences areas. The better understanding will help to overcome the challenges being faced in scaling-up research findings, improving full industrial production, process improvement, understanding the enhancement of the developed materials properties and the development of new products.
About COST
COST - European Cooperation in the field of Scientific and Technical Research - is one of the longest-running European instruments supporting cooperation among scientists and researchers across Europe. COST is also the first and widest European intergovernmental network for coordination of nationally funded research activities.
